Not only business – our supplier CD Constructs
Hello Burger Fans,
Today we want to introduce our kitchen supplier, CD Constructs. Based in Roeselare (or Roulers for us Francophones!), they specialise in custom‑made stainless‑steel furniture.
It all started five years ago when the first Huggy’s Bar opened its doors. At the time we knew little or nothing about industrial kitchens. We had all seen a restaurant kitchen, of course, but knowing the exact needs, specific features and limitations of a professional kitchen was another story. We didn’t really know who to turn to, so we met several suppliers before finding the gem that had been warmly recommended to us. From the first meeting we realised we shared the same desire to build the best kitchens. The best kitchens for the best burgers – naturally 😉
Since then a lot of water has passed under the bridge. The CD Constructs team now feels almost like part of the THB crew; we evolve together and they’re always ready to listen to our requirements. Sometimes, once a kitchen is installed, we want to make a few tweaks – and guess what: it’s never a problem 🙂
How is a THB kitchen made?
- We draw up an initial sketch of what we want in‑house.
- We discuss it with CD Constructs to see what needs improving and optimising.
- Then Dylan, their project manager, checks whether it is feasible with the desired equipment, sizes, etc.
- Once everything is OK on their side, we validate one last time before launching the final build.
Two weeks ago we went to visit their workshop in West Flanders. After a grand welcome from the mayor of Roeselare, we toured some of the impressive projects CD Constructs have completed: hospital kitchens, nursing homes, schools… They work with the highest‑quality brands and take obvious pride in what they do.
Our partnership with CD Constructs has allowed us to dream up kitchens that perfectly suit our needs and to evolve our restaurants without compromising on quality. It’s more than just business: it’s a human adventure, and we’re proud to have them as part of the Huggy’s family.
