The Kefta: a creation made in the HUGGYS Family!
Last February, excitement was high at HUGGYS with our internal Burger of the month competition. An afternoon where members of the HUGGYS Family were invited to present us with their craziest Burger recipes! (And there were plenty) 🍔😱
We got to discover very globetrotting Burgers straight from Italy or even South Korea. However, even though the results were very close, we could only choose one winner!
The recipe for the “Le Kefta” Burger emerged as the big winner of our competition thanks to its oriental flavours inspired by Moroccan cuisine. 🏆 A real killer!
WHO’S HIDING BEHIND THIS BURGER? 🍔
Let’s introduce our marketing team made up of Marine and Marie. 💁♀️ They not only look after all the marketing and communications for the HUGGYS group but, as you can see, they are also true kitchen magicians! – GO GIRLS –
For this contest they left their computers and stepped behind the stove. This girls gang wowed us with their off‑beat creation that will make your taste buds sing in April! 😬
MARINE, THE ORIGIN OF THE BURGER
Marine, a lover of Morocco for years, goes there every year. It was during her many trips to the Moroccan capital that she was able to immerse herself completely in the local cuisine. ☀🌿
MARIE, THE RECIPE CREATOR
Marine teamed up with Marie, a real little cordon bleu (so she thinks), to create a recipe that would perfectly convey the experience she lived in Marrakech. A challenge that Marie wasn’t afraid to take on, even though she’s never set foot in Morocco.
Armed with patience and above all curiosity, she rolled up her sleeves and carried out numerous tests, more or less successful, at home. 😂👩🍳 According to her, the most complicated part was recreating the perfect texture of T’Faya, the onion and raisin confit. Despite all those back‑and‑forths, she managed to create THE perfect Burger true to Marine’s culinary experiences. 🍔

Our 100% pure beef mince prepared kefta‑style is mixed with various spices and fresh herbs that echo the enchanting oriental flavours.
This juicy and tasty patty is accompanied by an onion and raisin confit, called T’Faya, traditionally served with couscous.
To finish off this taste journey, we add flaked almonds for crunch as well as a divine homemade parsley aioli!
