Halloween in Burger Land

Hello Burger Fans,

Halloween is coming! BOOO get ready to pull out your vampire teeth and other blood‑soaked accessories to demand the famous “trick or treat” or to dress up your favourite pet for the occasion. (We want the saaaame!)

The fabulous world of burgers also gets into Halloween every year. The big chains rival each other with ideas to offer the best Halloween burgers.

Last year McDonald’s concocted two special burgers in Japan especially for the occasion.

The first, the Squid Ink Burger, whose bun was coloured with black sesame, with double beef patties, cheddar, chipotle and squid‑ink sauce; and the second, the Camembert Chicken Filet‑o, with breaded chicken fillet and camembert sauce.

This year Burger King has taken the lead by massively offering its Halloween Whopper as a totally limited edition, of course! Its particularity is that the black colour of the bun comes from A‑1 sauce, a steak sauce our American friends are crazy about!

Inside, there’s nothing much different from a classic Whopper, apart from the famous A‑1 sauce too.

Last year Burger King also hit hard by offering in Japan (decidedly those Japanese are fans of oddities!) a Black Burger, where everything was black: bun, cheddar and sauce.

At our place, there’s no dedicated burger but there are restaurants decked out in Halloween colours and one special offer: every customer who comes in costume on 31 October will receive either a dessert or a beer on the house. Come in numbers!
