What you need to know about our collaboration with Un Pain En Avant

Welcome to this new THBLOG article! You’ve probably seen our latest video showing the creation of the Mona Lisa of Huggy’s Burgers: the Deluxe Bacon Cheeseburger. 🍔 A little marvel well known to our Burger Fans, and it’s back this year in an improved and even more indulgent version thanks to our friends at the artisan bakery Un Pain En Avant.

Today we’re going to tell you more about this unique collaboration with a few good‑to‑know facts.

  • A sibling team like no other

But who is hiding behind Un Pain En Avant? We can all agree that expert hands are behind this artisanal bakery, but those hands belong to a rather unusual sibling trio. If you visit them in Saint‑Georges, you may meet the Cester clan made up of Magali, Damien and Jérôme, who together make an amazing team! 💪🤩

  • Long‑time customers

The intertwined story of the siblings and The Huggy’s Bar doesn’t date from yesterday, since they are real Burger fans from the very beginning. 😱 Damien even came to Huggy’s Bar several times in one week, and did so for several weeks. A true shared passion for good products, and especially great Burgers! 😍🍔

  • EIDB graduates

Damien and Jérôme trained as artisan bakers at a world‑renowned school. 🎓 That’s how they became the first people from Liège to graduate as Organic Artisan Bakers from the Ecole Internationale de Boulangerie (EIDB) in Sisteron in the south of France. They followed a course focused on slow‑fermented organic sourdough bread as well as on business creation. What an achievement! 🙌✨

  • A contribution to the crowdfunding

When our siblings decided to dive into entrepreneurship, they could count on the support from Huggy’s Bar through advice and a contribution to their crowdfunding. We were so convinced of the quality of their project from the very start that we didn’t hesitate for a second to help launch it.

  • Sourdough

What differentiates Un Pain En Avant from all the traditional bakeries we know is their specialisation in slow natural sourdough fermentation. These artisans like to take their time in order to create exceptional products, and above all products that are good for our health (and our morale too). At Un Pain En Avant, our patience is rewarded by the best breads in the region!

  • La Poumponette

Thanks to their undeniable talent, Un Pain En Avant has built a very loyal customer base since their bakery opened in Saint‑Georges. That often happens when you do things well, a bit like us 😉. All those lovely people have fallen for their emblematic product: the Poumponette. Their soft brioche made with olive oil has stolen hearts, and especially ours since it’s the star of our December Burger of the month: the Deluxe Bacon Cheeseburger!

We are grateful that a success like The Huggy’s Bar allows us to express ourselves, in our craft of organic artisan baking, by showcasing our signature brioche, the poumponette. Thank you!

Now that you know more about our end‑of‑year 2022 collaboration, we invite you to come and discover it quickly! Our Deluxe Bacon Cheeseburger is available until 31 December in all The Huggy’s Bar restaurants.
