Suffering from food intolerances is never fun, and a gluten intolerance is among the hardest when you want to eat out. Gluten has snuck into almost everything, even foods you’d think were “safe”.

At Huggy’s we quickly became aware of this ordeal, which concerns a growing number of people. That’s why, many years ago, we introduced a gluten‑free bun to accompany your favourite burgers. But recently we decided to take things to the next level.

In collaboration with the best artisanal bakery L’Alternative, specialised in gluten‑ and lactose‑free products, we have developed an even softer and tastier bun. This 100% gluten‑free bread contains no wheat, oats or traces, allowing coeliacs to enjoy our burgers in complete safety.

But we didn’t stop there: we also reviewed our kitchen procedures to limit cross‑contamination, training our teams to prepare and handle gluten‑free products separately. We’ve even created a dedicated worktop for preparing gluten‑free burgers.

You can now enjoy almost all our burgers on a gluten‑free bun, but also our salads and homemade sauces. For beer lovers, our drinks menu includes the Caulier Gluten Free, a Belgian beer brewed without gluten that pairs perfectly with a burger.
