THB Team Building 2016

Hello Burger Fans,

As promised, this week we’re looking back at the Huggy’s Bar family’s annual Team Building. Celebrated in the heart of Brasserie C, it brought together ALL the employees from ALL the Huggy’s Bars in a cheerful atmosphere under a beautiful late‑September sun (Do you also never understand Belgian weather?!)

Monday 29 September was a much‑anticipated day, as it’s one of the rare occasions when all our restaurants are completely CLOSED (we only close three days a year: staff day, Christmas and New Year… you can imagine the relief for those who never get a day off 🙂). In the morning the staff are required to deep‑clean their restaurant. And around 1 p.m., breathless after climbing the steps from Rue Hors Château up to Brasserie C (time to work on your stamina, folks!), we finally deserved a good THB Pils. The first of a long series? Nooo, never!

After a hearty lunch and a few rough fights on the inflatable games, it was time for beer pong, whose intense competition quickly roused the troops. Beer pong is very popular in the US: two teams take turns throwing a ping‑pong ball across a table, aiming to land it in one of ten beer glasses at the other end. What happens when you “score”? You make your opponents drink, of course! (We’re from Liège or we’re not…)

There were fits of laughter, moments of suspense and plenty of spilled beer. In the end there were no losers – except maybe for our throats 😊

This Team Building day once again proved that our strength lies in our team spirit. A huge thank you to our friends at Brasserie C for hosting us and to all our employees for their good humour. We can’t wait for next year!
