
Our mission: to offer the best burgers, done better
Hello Burger Fans,
Once in a while we have to break with tradition. Today we’re not talking about gourmet burgers, cosy restaurants or lovely evenings with friends!
In this post we want to talk about us, what we do and above all how we do it. Because offering the best burgers without real values and a deep desire to “do better” is fine, but it’s not enough 🤷
So even if it’s impossible to list all those little (and big!) everyday things that make us proud of who we are, here’s a quick overview. Care to join us? 😊
Every day we make choices to consume ever more responsibly and gradually promote the ecological transition.
Some examples? We eliminate unnecessary packaging, use biodegradable takeaway packaging, rely exclusively on green Belgian energy, choose natural cleaning products and run continuous service to avoid unnecessary journeys… At the Huggy’s scale we put lots of “small” improvements in place.
For our burgers we work with local actors, notably our long‑time butcher Marc Schmitz, and artisans who sometimes live around the corner (hello Jean Galler 👋). We make our own preparations (more flavour, less waste), use lots of regional products (Sirop de Herve, speculoos, Chimay and Herve cheeses, Liège sauce, white pudding…) and propose Burgers of the Month with seasonal products. Ten thousand other things too!
Did you know that the fittings in our restaurants are “green” thanks to the use of natural materials? At Huggy’s we’ve opted for wood, glass and steel 😎
It’s obvious: we do our best, every day, to take responsibility in the face of the climate emergency.
