Our biggest flops – and our most sincere apologies!

Practice makes perfect – and the saying applies to the Huggy’s Bar too. In ten years of building and defending our title as burger kings, we’ve made our share of mistakes. But nothing beats a good fail for learning and always wanting to do better. 💪🍔

• Our beginnings 🥗🌯🌭

If you were there at the start of our adventure you may remember our first menus. We didn’t always serve only burgers – far from it! At the time we seemed to have trouble making decisions… In addition to burgers (which need no introduction) our menu included starters, salads, brasserie dishes, Tex Mex dishes and hot dogs. Some people say that when you can’t choose you should offer everything. Or not… Luckily our absolute burger fans quickly put us back on the right track by telling us that burgers were all you needed to be happy, so we soon arrived at a 100 % burger menu. ✌

• The THBeer Float 🍺

There was a time when we served THBeer Floats – that combination of a THBeer (our secret amber beer) with a scoop of THBeer sorbet and whipped cream. This classic from across the Atlantic unfortunately didn’t manage to win your hearts, even though our CEO is a big fan. We still secretly hope that one day you’ll love this made‑in‑USA blend as much as Thomas does… in any case, he hasn’t given up! 🤞🗽

• Burgers of the Month 🍅🍔

Burgers of the Month have been part of the Huggy’s Bar almost since day one. Yet ten years of monthly burgers doesn’t always guarantee success. Take our Bloody Mary Burger: we were convinced that this mythical cocktail turned into a burger would get people talking… well, it didn’t! It didn’t get the reception we expected. We wondered why – it looked great and was really appetising 🤔! Oh well, as they say: nothing ventured, nothing gained.

There have been other flops – sauces that weren’t to your taste, burgers that were too daring, products that didn’t find their audience. But each misstep taught us something and pushed us to perfect our craft. Thanks for being indulgent, for giving us feedback and for allowing us to become better burger lovers!
