Bye bye 2021, welcome 2022!
Although 2021 won’t really be remembered in the history books because the year was so chaotic for the hospitality sector, we’re staying super positive as we review these last 12 months 🙌
When we look back, we can only feel proud: despite the hurdles, we didn’t sit still (no pun intended 😁)
Ready for a little look back?
> A FULL reopening in June (because in May it was more like a life‑size test than a real opening, let’s call a spade a spade!). After 8 months with “half‑closed” doors where the take‑away and Burger deliveries in Liège, Brussels, Charleroi and Namur were our daily routine, we let out a big sigh of relief! To our great delight, enthusiasm for our Burgers was extraordinary, with customers just as loyal and even more ravenous than we remembered 🧡
> The arrival of the Bacon THBeer quickly followed: to perfect our Beer pairing concept, this beer with a delicious smoked bacon flavour (subtle, of course!) joined the THBeer family, Huggy’s Bar’s house beers. Made with our friends at Brasserie C, the Bacon THBeer is unique and more closely linked to our offer than ever: we use the same bacon as the one you find in our Burgers!
> In September, we opened our brand new concept “Little Huggy’s ” in the eagerly awaited food court of La Grand Poste de Liège. Little (that’s his nickname 😉) is the worthy little brother of Huggy’s Bar. It doesn’t break the THB rule: quality products, indulgence and simplicity in a more street and fast‑paced atmosphere. Come say hello, we’re open every day from 11:30am to 10pm!
> Burgers of the month that got people talking, as usual 🙃 Virginie came back with her head full of innovative ideas: the Donut Burger, whose “bun” was created in collaboration with Jean Galler’s bakery Chez Blanche, the Deluxe Bacon Cheeseburger which was one of the all‑time best sellers (#missyou), the Boudin Burger this December with its gold‑medal‑winning boudin (thank you Marc!).
Once written down, admit it, the report of this “half” year is frankly uplifting!
Speaking of rejoicing, did you know that in 2022, Huggy’s Bar celebrates its 10th anniversary? For the occasion, we’ve decided to put one of your favourite Burgers of the month back on the menu each month. Do you SEE where we’re going?! Yes, it could be that “Cheesy (C)Rock”, “Mac&Cheese” or “Waffle” will be part of the 2022 vocabulary… CHHH! We’ve said enough 🤐
