We told you about it in April 2016 on the blog, when the Sushi Burger was just making its appearance on Instagram. A clever mix of the typical Japanese dish and the gourmet Burger, this gastronomic eccentricity did not go unnoticed by the Huggy’s Bar eagle eye…

The enthusiasm was already very palpable at the time, and we were a little – a lot – surprised when dozens and dozens of Burger Fans asked (begged!) us to make it…
It took us a little time, for sure – the best things are always worth waiting for, isn’t that what people say?! But in September 2017, we are proud to announce it to you: HERE IT IS, the first Sushi Burger in Belgium!
The perfect partnership
Having the idea and the approval of our Fans is ultimately the visible part of the iceberg. Because to be able to offer a quality Burger we had to find the ideal partner: that happened when our path crossed that of Jean‑Marc Willems, founder of Attrap’Sushi. Super enthused by the concept (which he had already tested under the name Club Sushi in 2013), Jean‑Mi (we’re close 😉) was as creative as he was passionate… Needless to say, those are qualities we particularly love!
Innovation at the heart of Huggy’s Bar
From test after test, from meeting after meeting, it was born ❤
At the end of August, we organised a briefing session with all the chefs of each THB! It made for some serious work. Indeed, this Burger is completely off the beaten track: raw and fresh fish, daily deliveries of rice buns, etc. At Huggy’s Bar, innovation is in our DNA 😀
Limited edition: Don’t miss it!
You’ve understood it, it’s quite a challenge we’ve taken up and we are EXTREMELY proud of it. It is tasty, beautiful, generous and super fresh! For logistic reasons, the Sushi Burger is offered as a limited edition in all Huggy’s Bars until the end of September… Meaning: first come, first served!
