Live a chef’s day at THB
Hello Burger Fans,
This week we wanted to take you behind the scenes of a typical day for the cooks working at The Huggy’s Bar. It’s like winning a backstage pass at a concert – here you have the PRI‑VI‑LEGE of knowing what our chefs cook during their loooooong hours in the kitchen. They’re far from idle, and this is our way of honouring their work 🙂
Their day doesn’t really start at dawn, but it certainly ends late… Very late, actually. For those who know, Huggy’s Bar is open from noon to 10 p.m. non‑stop, which makes for rather exhausting days. And since all our preparations are homemade, the quieter time slots are used… to cook, of course!

10 a.m., gloves on and the day begins. This morning the chef crumbs the chicken fillets, freshly delivered by Marc Schmitz notre maître bouc… and the prep work continues: homemade sauces, slicing vegetables, preparing coleslaw and cheddar slices, cooking bacon, trimming and seasoning beef, baking buns… everything is homemade to deliver our burgers on time for the midday rush. After service the kitchen team continues with more prep so they’re ready for the evening customers.
It’s a demanding job, but our chefs’ passion and the smiles of satisfied customers make it all worthwhile. Hats off to them!
