Saint Patrick around the world

Hello Burger Fans.

Today is St Patrick’s Day, the legendary Irish celebration.

For the occasion our restaurants will be decked out in shamrocks and flags – and most importantly, Guinness will be available on tap.

Did you know?
St Patrick’s Day is a Christian feast that has celebrated, since the 10th century, the saint patron of Ireland on 17 March. Legend has it that this famous St Patrick drove all the snakes out of the country that day, symbolising the conversion of the Irish people to Christianity.

Originally it was a purely religious festival, but over the years – thanks in part to the media – it is now celebrated in many countries, mainly English‑speaking ones.

Parades of all kinds, decorations featuring shamrocks and the colour green, buildings lit up in Irish colours – there’s something for everyone.

The prize probably goes to the city of Chicago which, for the second year in a row, dyes the river green:

St Patrick’s Day is also celebrated on the plate (let’s be honest, that’s what interests us most!). Last year we offered you a special burger with Irish beef rib‑eye and a Guinness sauce. This year Guinness will be back in our restaurants for a limited time, so come raise a pint and toast to the Irish way!
