Dallas sauce
Hello Burger Fans!
Today we’re going to tell you about a sauce that is still unknown to many, but that burst into our lives like the sun in the middle of July: completely unexpectedly! 🙂
For the record, Dallas sauce didn’t exist a few years ago. It was “verbally invented” by our buddy Aziz from the indétrônable et hilarant Dikkenek. Remember. He goes to the chip shop, places his little order calmly, and gets interrupted by poor Stef who comes to order his Vedett in a shmet… STOP! Let’s rewind: he orders his fries with DALLAS sauce. That’s how it started.
The creator of BRUSSELS KETJEP had the flash of a century by imagining and developing Dallas sauce. Because in addition to having got people talking about him in an ingenious way, this great mind created a sauce – allow me to say – THAT TOTALLY ROCKS! The blend of Samouraï, Brasil, Américaine and Andalouse makes it a creamy, tasty sauce with a real signature and a very “Belgian” history!
Interview with the creator, Sylvain
- Did the idea for Dallas come from the film, or did you already have this sauce in mind and were just missing “just” the name?
” After creating the KETJEP and the MAYO, people were asking me for all kinds of sauces, but I didn’t want to just copy what already existed… So I invented a sauce with everything Belgians love: some heat, crispy onions combined with a bit of sweetness. I owe the name to a friend with whom I had had a beer (…or three). That night, with his eyes sparkling, he blurted out: “You should make Dallas sauce.” He was just joking. Everyone laughed. It’s probably the fastest market study in history!”
- What future projects are there for BRUSSELS KETJEP?
” With David Antoine from Radio Contact, we sent the first packet of Belgian fries into space. You have to watch the video on YouTube, it’s awesome! The 16-20 sauce, created in a limited edition for the event, was an enormous success! We’re looking for a new idea to make history again! BRUSSELS KETJEP is still a small company, we try to do things without rushing.”
- We’ve been asked, begged, pleaded: where can you buy BRUSSELS KETJEP sauces?
” You’ll find DALLAS and COWBOY sauces at Carrefour, Intermarché and Match among others. The other sauces are mainly intended for restaurant professionals like The Huggy’s Bar. The list of points of sale can be found on www.brusselsketjep.com/fr. ;)”
For lovers of packaging and other marketing feats, the slogan visible on the bottle will convince you once for good: « A Dikkenek knows why ».
What else can we say? Oh yes! To succumb to the temptation, several options are available to you: the Dallas Burger and the Beef Chicken Burger. Dallas can also be ordered to accompany your fries, or to replace a sauce on a Burger (in case you’re being a little picky… 🙂 ).
