Comptoir des Mers is more than a partner: they’ve been an accomplice from the very beginning. We’ve lost count of the exchanges, trials and brainstorming sessions over a fresh fillet.

The Comptoir has become our fish compass, the one we call when we want to do things right, without cheating, with products that have character.

It’s no accident: their fish arrives directly from Rungis, the temple of the sea in Paris.

Comptoir des Mers, in Liège, is THE REFERENCE. Three addresses well known to fish lovers: rue des Guillemins, Neupré and Juprelle. A strong presence in the region that speaks volumes about their know‑how.

A collaboration that flows naturally

When we were working on our Fish Patty, we weren’t looking for just any fish “that does the job”. It needed: flavour for discerning palates, a texture that really pops and above all, a little marine twist that stands out. Needless to say, it wasn’t easy.

Comptoir didn’t hesitate for a second to dive in with us. They hit the mark by offering us the perfect fillet — the one that ticks all our boxes and gives our Burger “The breaded fish fillet” that little something extra. Then we work it the HUGGYS way: cut, seasoned, boosted with spices and fresh herbs, then shaped into a patty before going through our ultra‑crispy homemade coating. A real fillet that stands proud between two slices of bun.

And this wasn’t a first attempt. We also worked hand in hand with them on our Sushi Burger (in collaboration with our friends at Attrap’ Sushi) and on the legendary Lobster Burger. Each time, it’s the same refrain — no need to do too much: ultra‑quality products, mutual trust, and a partnership that glides as naturally as a salmon swimming upstream.

And for the connoisseurs who have been following us for a long time: in the very beginning we tried a TUNA Burger, with a fresh tuna steak and tuna bacon. A slightly offbeat idea that didn’t live long, but which taught us one thing: good fish makes all the difference. Today, thanks to Comptoir des Mers, we know it even more than before.
