THB Mac, the September Burger
This back‑to‑school month we wanted to go big – even bigger – by creating a bold and emblematic Burger of the Month.
The THB Mac – the name alone should tell you what it nods to – could only exist by surrounding ourselves with the very best. We already had the best Cheddar 🧀 and the best beef 🥩; all that remained was to find the best bun.
In 2016 we collaborated with Jean Galler to create a mind‑blowing burger made with cocoa beans. Since then Jean has donned his baker’s cap, so we were honoured to work once again with this great man. In September, together with his artisanal bakery Chez Blanche, we created the mythical THB Mac Burger 🍔.
In 2016 the first chocolate hamburger was born. Why create a second collaboration four years later?
J. Galler: “It was a shared desire; we felt we had something to offer each other. The Huggy’s and Chez Blanche are a beautiful association of Liège companies, both passionate about gastronomic pleasure. We carried out several tests before arriving at the final result. Made from organic flour, rye flour and a touch of malted barley, we found a good balance. The bread is soft, light and nicely rounded.”
THB: “This time we went even further: in addition to the exclusive bun we created a burger sauce inspired by a classic you all know, but revisited in a homemade version. Combine that with our meat, our Cheddar, our pickles and you’ve got a burger worthy of being called THB Mac.”
