The Fair‑Play label
Hello Burger Fans,
There’s a label you may never – or rarely – have heard of, which is making more and more waves in the HoReCa world. Its name: the Fair‑Play label. And guess what? At Huggy’s Bar we have it! So for once, we’re being HYPER serious and explaining everything…
The Fair‑Play label is awarded to establishments that have installed a fiscal cash register (the so‑called black box) and that issue valid receipts. It’s a way of recognising businesses that play by the rules.
Why is it important? Because it guarantees declared wages and better social protection for employees; it provides transparency for customers who know they’re paying the right VAT; and it helps combat unfair competition.
Unfortunately only about half of Belgian restaurants currently have such a cash register. Choosing labelled restaurants means supporting a sustainable economy and fair working conditions.
The Huggy’s Bar adopted the black box as soon as it was made compulsory. We’ve always believed that honesty and transparency are part of quality service. So when you dine with us you’re supporting a business that plays fair. Thank you!
Bon appétit!
