The THBPils – When collaboration rhymes with innovation

Hello Burger Fans.

You already know and love our THBEER, the first beer for Burgers, brewed by our friends at Brasserie C. We told you the story of the THBEER here; our beautiful collaboration began in 2014.

So we wanted to repeat the experience, but this time by brewing a pils. Indeed, it’s a first and a new string to its bow for Brasserie C, which had never brewed this type of beer and had until now specialised in special beers with top fermentation.

Did you know?
There are two types of fermentation for beers. High fermentation is the method used for special beers such as Curtius, Chimay blue, Duvel, etc., and low fermentation is the technique used for beers known as “pils”. The difference between the two lies in the fermentation temperature of the beer. As shown in the illustration below, fermentation is the fifth and last step in the production of a beer. It is during this stage that the level of alcohol in the beer develops. If you are interested in beer and how it’s made, don’t hesitate to visit

What were we saying? Ah yes, we were talking about the desire to do a new project and brew a pils together, that’s it. As beer lovers, of beer‑and‑burger pairing and, even more, of collaboration between young Liège companies, we quickly got excited about this project. We met again a few times and the first brew was ready to taste quite quickly. Yes, our job is too hard, we know!

Did you know?
The pils beer, also called pilsener, pilsen or pilsner, is named after the city of Plzeň in the Czech Republic (Pilsen in German) where this type of beer is said to have originated. It is a light, clear blond beer with bottom fermentation, around 5 degrees of alcohol and medium bitterness.

We’re super nice and thought of you: the THBPils will be available exclusively in all our restaurants and at Brasserie C until the end of February.

We recommend enjoying it with our burger of the month: the Cordon Bleu Raclette Burger.

We find it delicious: it’s a blonde, light beer that stands out from traditional pils thanks to a higher barley content (100% malted barley) and generous hopping that gives it a very pleasant slight citrus note as well as a subtle peppery taste. It’s easy to drink and of course goes wonderfully with Burgers.

And you, what do you think?

Cheers to all!
